Daniel Taub: The Peacemaker

Daniel Taub is a director of Strategy and Planning at the Yad Hanadiv Foundation, based in Jerusalem. He is an international law expert with a specialization in laws of war and counter-terrorism. He served as an Israeli ambassador to the United Kingdom for four years from periods 2011 to 2015.

Daniel Taub was born in the year 1962, in The Great Britain. He studied at Oxford University College in London and after that at Kennedy School of Government affiliated with Harvard University.

Career Journey

Daniel relocated to Israel in the year 1989 where he worked as a combat medic for the Israel Defense Forces. Having studied international law, Daniel served as a reserve officer in the Division of International Law.

In 1991, Daniel Taub worked for Israeli Foreign Ministry as a lawyer and diplomat to the United Kingdom, from 2011 to 2015.

Media guru

Taub has created and written a brilliant Israeli script called HeChatzer. The writing aims at removing stereotypic ideologies in religion, in the Israeli community.

Daniel also wrote speeches for President Chaim Herzog. He is also the author of the British Origin and Parasha Diplomatit. He has had his articles featured in The Times, The Daily Telegraph, Huffington Post and The Guardian. His articles highlighted issues regarding Israel and the Middle-East.

He is a lecturer at the Annual Limmud Conference and many universities in Israel. He lectures on international law and negotiation theory. He is well known as a humorous public speaker.

Diplomacy

Daniel Taub was Israeli ambassador to the United Kingdom. During his term, trade between the two nations increased two-fold. The trade was as a result of over three hundred business being established by Israelis in the U.K.

His tenure was characterized by a stronger emphasis on education and culture diversification. Being a peacemaker, Daniel has helped mend relations between Israel and Palestine. Moreover, he steered negotiations between Israel and Syria.

Awards

For supporting young entrepreneurs, Daniel was given the Grassroot Diplomat Initiative Honoree. This was in the year 2013 when he launched Bizcamp.

Daniel Taub founded the Closer to Israel Programme that was taken up by the Jewish community.

Daniel Taub has managed to foster peace and unity among many nations through his unrelenting work and commitment to humanity. His input to economic empowerment of youth is visible in the increased number of new businesses. In deed, he is a valuable asset to humankind.
