Daniel Taub’s diplomatic achievements between Israel and the U.K.

During Daniel Taub’s period of four years as the Israeli Ambassador to the United Kingdom, trade between the U.K and Israel doubled and a significant deepening of cultural, business and academic links between the two countries.

The Israel Embassy released the statement recently. In his address to an audience at the British Israeli Business awards, the British secretary of State for Business, Skills and innovation Sajid Javid said that total trade between the two countries had reached a golden era thanks to the efforts of Daniel Taub.

According to the British Chamber of Commerce, over 300 Israeli businesses have set up operations in the United Kingdom. Javid also added that the annual bilateral trade had improved from $5.5 billion to $7 billion.

Daniel Taub introduced the Bizcamp start-up competition in cooperation with Google which was nominated for the Grassroots Diplomatic Initiative Award for developing trade and business.

Daniel focused on the cross-cultural and interfaith activity and was once invited to teach Hebrew and Bible classes in Westminster Abbey and also at the England Synod Church.

Daniel Taub was born in the U.K. and became the Israeli Ambassador in 2011. He travelled to Northern Island together with his Palestinian counterpart as peace negotiators. Despite the objections from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that he was junior to be appointed, he was appointed as the Ambassador to the Court of St James’s.

During his presentation of his credentials to the Queen, he told Her Majesty that he felt privileged that it fell to him to raise his children in his historic homeland but his greatest period of opportunity for his family was found in Britain.

Daniel added that he was hopeful to express his appreciation for that by working to deepen the ties of the both countries. Throughout his life, he has been affirm believer in the equal rights for every human being irrespective of the origin. He vehemently advocated for the rights of the Jewish community. He is one of the best diplomats from Israel.

Daniel Taub is a renowned lecturer and a public speaker with a sense of humor. He was the first Israel Ambassador to be interviewed on the BBC Persian service. He take his lectures in policy institutes and universities in Israel and abroad.

Despite being the Ambassador to the UK, he became the Israel’s first Ambassador to the International Maritime Organization in London. He ended his tenure as the Ambassador in 2015.

Daniel Taub is a director of Strategy and Planning at the Yad Hanadiv Foundation, based in Jerusalem. He is an international law expert with a specialization in laws of war and counter-terrorism. He served as an Israeli ambassador to the United Kingdom for four years from periods 2011 to 2015.

Career Journey

Daniel relocated to Israel in the year 1989 where he worked as a combat medic for the Israel Defense Forces. Having studied international law, Daniel served as a reserve officer in the Division of International Law.

In 1991, Daniel Taub worked for Israeli Foreign Ministry as a lawyer and diplomat to the United Kingdom, from 2011 to 2015.

Taub has created and written a brilliant Israeli script called HeChatzer. The writing aims at removing stereotypic ideologies in religion, in the Israeli community.
