Marwan Kheireddine Recap

Marwan Kheireddine is the former Minister of State for the Lebanese government. He has a broad history in the banking industry and is currently the Chairman and CEO of AM Bank – one of the leaders of the Lebanese banking industry.

During his time spent in the government, Marwan Kheireddine was able to assist with a variety of issues concerning financing and economics. He helped streamline many sectors of the banking industry in Lebanon, bringing common international law to the country. He was vital in establishing many laws that make up the current banking sector in Lebanon too. One of his greatest accomplishments while working for the Lebanese government was the creation of the Banque du Liban Circular 331, which is a regulation created in order to promote sustainable economic growth by subsidizing startups and would-be entrepreneurs. He served as the Minister of State for Lebanon from 2011 until 2014.

In addition to leading AM Bank to new horizons, Marwan Kheireddine is also a member of the advisory board at the American University of Beirut’s school of business, which he was elected to in 2005.

Marwan Kheireddine continues to work with future business owners by way of the Lebanon Chapter of Endeavor. It is an International NGO that helps entrepreneurship in Lebanon. He is also a board member of the Lebanese Center for Policy Studies.

Marwan Kheireddine achieved the majority of his education abroad. He obtained a BA in business administration and economics in the UK and an MBA from Columbia Business School in America.
