Pamela Baer has been an integral part of fund drives, gatherings, and strategic development for the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation (SFGHF). The foundation funds solutions to support our society’s most disadvantaged. The COVID epidemic and its effects have highlighted several of the arising challenges, as well as the importance of public health support.
The necessity to support the disadvantaged is significant, and Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) continues to be a refuge for most of them. As a result, Pam Baer has a commitment to the foundation’s goals that remains steadfast. The experienced staff at ZSFG works with the poor, homeless, and without insurance, along with new immigrants and people of color in the society.
Pamela Baer states that mental health problems are prevalent among the most vulnerable individuals in society. This, along with the COVID problem, has the hospital running at maximum capacity, assisting the people in dealing with this double pandemic.
She was vital in the establishment of the Transform Mental & Behavioral Health Fund in 2018. Since its inception, the organization has generated over $5 million to support and develop mental health projects and activities. Its purpose is to make mental healthcare more affordable while also denouncing stigmas related to the issue.
In 2002, Pam Baer became a board member of the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation, where she remained for 16 years. The foundation made her a lifetime director after she left the post. She has been absorbed in the organization’s charity efforts since she initially started engaging with it.
She was raised in Texas and studied at the University of Texas before going to New York City to specialize in the finance industry as a product marketing specialist.
