John Hailer, Independent Director of the General Partner

John Hailer is the independent director of the general partner of our limited partnership. He is also the CEO of Natixis Global Asset Management – Americas and a member of Natixis Global Asset Management’s Executive Committee. Before joining Natixis John Hailer in 2007, Mr. Hailer was the President and CEO of Fidelity Investments’ Retail and Institutional Services Company, a position he held since 2003. John Hailer was born in 1952 and earned a B.A. from Hamilton College in 1974 and an M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in 1976.

John Hailer has also served as a director of several public companies, including State Street Corporation from 2004 to 2017, where he chaired the Risk Committee and MFS Investment Management from 1999 to 2007. He currently serves on the boards of KCG Holdings and several non-profit organizations.

Global Partners LP owns or leases over 9,200 miles of pipelines and nearly 900 railcars. Global Partners LP’s products include crude oil, refined petroleum, and natural gas. The company operates in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Asia. According to recent research, Global Partners LP is one of the most significant publicly traded master limited partnerships, with a market capitalization of $5.6 billion and an enterprise value of $17.5 billion as of September 30, 2019.

John Hailer received many awards throughout his career, including the Distinguished Leadership Award from the Boy Scouts of America, the Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business Award from the US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce, and The Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of The Year Award in New England.
