Keane oversaw the development of Bing Ads Intelligence Suite, a tool for advertisers to monitor and optimize their advertising performance via Microsoft Azure. Thanks to his work, Bing Ads Intelligence Suite holds a 4.3-star review on G2Crowd, with 83 reviews. Tom Keane was also one of the key people behind the Microsoft Hyper-V Recovery Manager (HRM) development for Windows Server 2008 R2, 2015 and 2016.

HRM allows Hyper-V virtual machines to be recovered in the event of a serious problem due to several factors not in the control of IT professionals by enabling them to “failover” without needing physical access to servers. He has also led Bing ads, which are the foundation for Bing, Google and Yahoo! search. Tom Keane recalls how Microsoft’s online advertising solutions have helped many companies reach more users via their online advertisements. For example, a study by WebTrends found that in 2013, Bing accounted for 38% of all search engine traffic to Macworld.

At his younger age, he owned and operated Tom Keane Energy PTY LTD, based in Australia. Tom Keane Energy was established to provide consultancy services for large-scale industrial projects such as power stations and desalination plants in Australia.
